Bill Topic: Ending Racial Discrimination in Housing
1. Be it enacted by the Members of the McG Model Congress
2. of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3. Section 1. Title
4. The “We Are All Equal” Property Act
5. Section 2. Purposes
6. This bill is intended to make it possible for any person to live wherever they chose
7. to live.
8. To ensure racial equality in the sale and/or rental of property.
9. To allow any person the right to buy or rent property in any neighborhood, without
10. being subjected to racial discrimination.
11. To guarantee that when selling or renting property, the owner/landlord are not
12. allowed to discriminate based upon race.
13. To guarantee that when selling or renting property, the owner/landlord are not
14. allowed to alter the price based upon race.
15. To guarantee that real estate professionals do not prevent a person from
16. considering property in any neighborhood based upon race.
17. To guarantee that no other person living in any neighborhood can prevent another
18. person from renting/buying/living in any property in their neighborhood based
19. upon race.
20. It isn’t to end discrimination; it is to strengthen the country to make sure
21. everyone has equal access
